How does the abandoned cart reminder work?
Salla and Zid tell ATMET Chat as soon as a cart is left in your store, and on Shopify every checkout that isn’t completed counts as an abandoned cart. On Salla and Zid, ATMET Chat also checks your store’s cart list itself every so often, so a missed notice doesn’t lose a fresh cart.
Each abandoned cart gets one WhatsApp reminder, in your own words. If the customer changes the cart before it goes, the timer starts again from the last change.
- The customer’s name, the cart total and the products in it
- A link that opens the customer’s own cart — on the official connection you can put it in a button
- A single-use discount code, if you switch coupons on
- The installment amount: the cart total divided by the number of payments you choose, from 2 to 12
When does the reminder go out?
One hour after the cart is reported, and you can change that in hours and minutes in the settings. On Salla, Salla itself reports a cart about an hour after it is left, so your delay comes after that. On Shopify the delay counts from the checkout, and starts again whenever it changes.
Sent over ATMET Chat channels, a reminder due at night waits until 9 a.m. in the customer’s time zone, and goes only between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Reminders all start switched off, and you switch them on.
When is no reminder sent?
ATMET Chat checks before every reminder, and sends none when:
- The customer completed the order from the cart
- The customer placed any order in your store in the last 24 hours
- The customer got a cart reminder in the last 24 hours — at most one per number a day
- The customer asked to stop messages, such as «توقف» or "stop"
- The cart is more than six hours past its reminder time
- The cart is older than your store’s WhatsApp connection
How do cart coupons work?
ATMET Chat creates the coupon in your own store at the moment it sends, and it can be used once. You choose a percentage or a fixed amount, the minimum order, and how many days it stays valid — or two discounts by cart value: a bigger one for carts above an amount you set.
On Salla and Zid the coupon can give free shipping and exclude payment methods, and on Salla it can exclude discounted products.
On Plus the code is random, like TMPA1B2C3. From Pro it carries the customer’s first name and four digits, like Khalid4821.
What does a reminder message cost?
Over ATMET Chat channels there is no Meta charge. Over the official connection, a cart reminder is a marketing template message: Meta charges for it by the customer’s country, and you pay Meta directly, with no ATMET markup.
If Meta holds the message back under its per-customer limit on marketing messages, ATMET Chat tries once more a day later, and you are not charged for the message that didn’t arrive.
What have cart reminders brought stores?
Sales from cart reminders
522K+ SAR
Sales from orders placed within 7 days of a cart message reaching the customer, across every store that uses ATMET Chat, counted since July 2026, as one total with no names. The same «Revenue from ATMET» rule as your dashboard: when a customer got more than one message, the order counts for the last one.

Yes. The default is one hour, and you set it in hours and minutes. On Salla, Salla reports a cart about an hour after it is left, so your delay is added after that.
